Category: SNMP Framework, Satellite, Textual Conventions and Registries

Description: Defines the SMI OID structure for CET/TSI satellite and teleport management MIB modules.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CET-TSI-SMI?

CET-TSI-SMI is a Structure of Management Information (SMI) module that defines the top-level enterprise OID hierarchy used to organize satellite and teleport management MIB modules from CET/TSI, a satellite ground-station and teleport equipment vendor. It exposes no operational data categories of its own — no interfaces, environment sensors, counters, or configuration objects — only OBJECT IDENTIFIER node assignments that other CET/TSI MIBs import as their common root. As a pure naming/registration module it plays no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status: it defines no uptime, temperature, CPU/memory, power supply, or process objects. It is a foundational dependency for the rest of the CET/TSI MIB suite, which would supply the actual satellite/teleport equipment monitoring data. It is used at MIB-compile time by network management systems that need to load the full CET/TSI MIB tree before polling real satellite/teleport monitoring MIBs. Engineers can download the CET-TSI-SMI file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CET-TSI-SMI. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • CET/TSI satellite and teleport ground-station equipment (registration/SMI module only, not itself monitored)

Monitoring Examples

This module contains no MODULE-IDENTITY runtime objects or tables of its own; it is a pure OID-registration module defining the enterprise subtree under which actual CET/TSI satellite and teleport MIBs place their managed objects. There is no monitoring scenario to describe directly from this module — an administrator would instead poll the specific sibling CET/TSI MIBs (e.g., modem, RF chain, or teleport status modules) that import and extend this SMI structure.
