Category: DSL and Broadband, SNMP Framework
Description: Supplies the SMI hierarchy and enterprise OID registrations covering Chateau Systems' DSL and broadband access equipment.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CHATEAUSYSTEMS-REGISTRATIONS-MIB?
CHATEAUSYSTEMS-REGISTRATIONS-MIB is a high-level registration and Textual Convention module for Chateau Systems, a maker of DSL and broadband access equipment, defining the enterprise OID hierarchy and shared type definitions that all other Chateau Systems MIBs import. It exposes no operational data of its own — it is limited to organizational nodes and enterprise-specific Textual Convention definitions rather than interface, environment, or performance data. Because it is purely a registration/type-definition module, it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status: it defines no uptime, temperature, CPU/memory, power, or process objects. Other Chateau Systems MIBs depend on it as a mandatory import for both OID placement and shared data types. It is used as a compile-time prerequisite when loading the broader Chateau Systems MIB suite for DSL/broadband access equipment management. Engineers can download the CHATEAUSYSTEMS-REGISTRATIONS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CHATEAUSYSTEMS-REGISTRATIONS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Chateau Systems DSL/broadband access equipment (registration/textual-convention module only, not itself monitored)
Monitoring Examples
This module defines only organizational OID nodes and enterprise Textual Conventions, distributed as SNMP seminar handout material; it contains no managed objects or tables to poll. There is no monitoring scenario to describe from this module alone — actual DSL/broadband access equipment status would be exposed by other Chateau Systems MIBs that import this module's node structure and type definitions.
