Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CB9000-MIB?
CB9000-MIB is a legacy 3Com proprietary MIB (imports only A3Com-products-MIB) reserved as a product-registration stub for the CB9000 platform, with no data objects of its own in this iteration. As a structural placeholder MIB it exists so the CB9000 registers under 3Com's product OID hierarchy alongside sibling models. It underlies legacy 3Com CB9000 equipment. Engineers can download the CB9000-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CB9000-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Legacy 3Com CB9000 equipment
Monitoring Examples
A MIB browser loads CB9000-MIB automatically when parsing a companion 3Com product MIB, resolving the CB9000's registered product OID.
