Description: the max number of gate messages that the system will process per 10 second interval when the system cpu is in a normal condition, i.e. no overload.
What is cadPCMaxOverloadGateMsgs?
This OID stores the maximum number of gate control messages the system processes per 10-second window when CPU is not overloaded. Operators adjust this to control call setup rate and prevent CPU exhaustion. For example, setting this to 1000 msgs/10sec ensures the system doesn't try to process 5000 simultaneous call setup requests.
