Description: Number of connections that have been rejected as a result of rate overload protection while the system is in the corresponding system-wide overload state since the last system reboot or since the last time that this counter was reset.
What is cadPCConnRateOverloadRejCount?
This counter tracks the number of connection attempts that have been rejected due to rate overload protection being active on a cable modem termination system (CMTS). When the system detects excessive connection requests, it activates overload protection and rejects additional connections; this counter increments for each rejected connection. Operators monitor this counter to understand when their cable plant is experiencing congestion and may need capacity upgrades.
