cadSysIpVideoMulticastAllowedUsage

Module: CADANT-CMTS-IP-VIDEO-MIB

OID (symbolic): CADANT-CMTS-IP-VIDEO-MIB::cadSysIpVideoMulticastAllowedUsage

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4998.1.1.125.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Maximum percentage of downstream resources that may be admitted for use by Multicast services. Unlike other similar parameters in the cadPCMibBase section, this parameter is the actual limiting MIB parameter to be used across all downstream channels and is not just the default value for other MIB parameters.

This value at all times must be less than or equal to 100% minus all default CAC downstream channel parameters that reserve resources for other applications (including, but not necessarily limited to, emergency and normal voice).

What is cadSysIpVideoMulticastAllowedUsage?

Sets the maximum percentage of downstream resources that may be allocated to multicast services across all downstream channels. This acts as a hard admission control limit to ensure multicast video cannot consume more than its designated share of available bandwidth.
