Description: Manages hardware equipment inventory and slot configuration on BTI Systems BTI7800 optical transport nodes.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is BTI7800-EQUIPMENT-MIB?

BTI7800-EQUIPMENT-MIB is a BTI Systems (Atlas platform, later Juniper) proprietary MIB (translated from a YANG data model) reporting chassis, module, and MSA-transceiver equipment inventory for the BTI7800 optical-transport platform. Its objects cover a chassis table (name, type, PEC part number, admin/operational status, three custom fields, location), a module table (name, PEC, admin/operational status, type, custom fields), and an MSA-transceiver table (name, PEC). As a hardware-inventory/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm chassis/module/transceiver operational status and part numbers across a BTI7800 optical-transport shelf. It is deployed on BTI Systems (Juniper) BTI7800 optical-transport platforms. Engineers can download the BTI7800-EQUIPMENT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BTI7800-EQUIPMENT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • BTI Systems (Juniper) BTI7800 optical-transport platforms

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks moduleOperationalStatus and msaXcvrPEC to confirm a transceiver's part number and operational health on a BTI7800 optical-transport shelf.
