Description: Defines product OID registration tree for BlueSocket wireless LAN controller product family.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is BLUESOCKET-PRODUCTS?

BLUESOCKET-PRODUCTS is a draft product-identity MIB from Bluesocket (maker of the BlueSecure wireless LAN controller family) that registers OID assignments for each hardware model in the product line. It contains no data objects of its own, only a tree of OID nodes (blue1000, blue1100, blue2000, blue2100, blue5000, blue600) used elsewhere as sysObjectID values to identify which specific controller model an agent is running on. As such it cannot be used to monitor hardware sensors, software status, or performance counters directly; its only function is device model identification. It is a dependency consumed by other Bluesocket MIBs and management tools that need to branch behavior based on the detected product model. It is typically encountered when an NMS resolves the sysObjectID of a Bluesocket BlueSecure wireless LAN controller to determine its exact hardware model. Engineers can download the BLUESOCKET-PRODUCTS file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BLUESOCKET-PRODUCTS. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Bluesocket wireless LAN controller (BlueSecure product family)

Monitoring Examples

This module defines only OID registration nodes (blue1000, blue1100, blue2000, blue2100, blue5000, blue600) with no runtime data objects, so there is no monitoring scenario; it is used solely so that an NMS can map a device's sysObjectID to a specific Bluesocket hardware model name.
