Module: BGP4-V2-MIB-JUNIPER

OID (symbolic): BGP4-V2-MIB-JUNIPER::jnxBgpM2CfgPeerLocalAs

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.5.1.1.2.8.3.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetAutonomousSystemNumber

Access: read-create

Description: Autonomous system represented to peer on peering session initialization. Some implementations of BGP can represent themselves as multiple ASes. These implementations can set this to an alternate autonomous system. If this object is set to zero (0) at the point this row instance is set to active, then the implementation will initialize this session representing itself as the value of jnxBgpM2CfgLocalAs.

What is jnxBgpM2CfgPeerLocalAs?

This is the local Autonomous System Number the router will advertise to this peer; if zero, the router uses the global configured AS number. Allows a single router to represent different ASes to different peers. Example: if set to 65001 while the global AS is 65000, this peer sees the router as AS 65001.
