Description: Manages HTTP client connection statistics and request/response counters on Benu Networks gateway platforms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is BENU-HTTP-CLIENT-MIB?
BENU-HTTP-CLIENT-MIB is a Benu Networks vendor MIB reporting performance statistics for the HTTP client component embedded in Benu's broadband/mobile gateway platforms. It exposes interval-based latency statistics including total packet counts and minimum/maximum/average processing times, plus counts of requests exceeding a 10ms processing threshold, tracked both for general HTTP client latency and for server-request latency specifically. This is primarily a performance-counter MIB used to gauge software health of the HTTP client subsystem, where rising max/average processing times or growing slow-response counts indicate the client is struggling or a backend server is responding slowly. It is a self-contained vendor MIB with no notable dependency on other standard MIBs beyond the SNMPv2 framework. It is typically deployed on Benu Networks gateway/access controller platforms used by broadband and mobile operators. Engineers can download the BENU-HTTP-CLIENT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BENU-HTTP-CLIENT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Benu Networks broadband/mobile gateway platform
Monitoring Examples
An operator polling bHttpClientLatencyTable/bHttpClientLatencyEntry over each bHttpClientLatencyStatsInterval would track bHttpClientLatencyAvgProcessingTime and bHttpClientLatencyMaxProcessingTime to baseline normal HTTP client performance. A sustained increase in bHttpClientLatencyProcessTimeMorethan10MSPktCount alongside a rise in bHttpClientServReqLatencyMaxProcessingTime would point to a slow or overloaded backend HTTP server rather than a client-side fault.
What Can Be Monitored
- HTTP client request latency (min/max/avg)
- packet counts per interval
- slow-response (>10ms) packet counts
- server-request latency statistics
