Category: Frame Relay

Description: Manages burst mode Frame Relay optimization parameters and performance statistics.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is BCST-OPT-MIB?

BCST-OPT-MIB is a legacy Codex (Motorola, enterprise OID 449, cdx6500 WAN adaptor) proprietary MIB configuring SVC/PVC broadcast-option entries for X.25-style call routing. Its SVC broadcast table records call number, network, called/calling address, facilities, user data, direction, and destination, and a PVC broadcast-out table records call number, network, connection, and destination. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm broadcast-call routing entries on a legacy Codex (Motorola) cdx6500 WAN adaptor. It is deployed on legacy Codex (Motorola) cdx6500 WAN adaptor equipment. Engineers can download the BCST-OPT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BCST-OPT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy Codex (Motorola) cdx6500 WAN adaptor equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks cdx6500bcstSBCOdestination to confirm a broadcast SVC call's routing destination on a legacy Codex (Motorola) cdx6500 WAN adaptor.

What Can Be Monitored
