Description: Manages Barco ClickShare wireless presentation system, monitoring connection status, unit health, and sharing sessions.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is BARCO-CLICKSHARE-MIB?
BARCO-CLICKSHARE-MIB is a vendor-specific SNMP module for Barco's ClickShare line of wireless presentation and collaboration units, used in meeting rooms and huddle spaces. It exposes device identity data such as room name, location, article/model code and serial number alongside sharing-session and connection-status objects, plus internal environmental sensors. It is explicitly built for hardware health monitoring: it reports base-unit uptime and total uptime, case and CPU fan speeds, and CPU temperature against a configurable threshold, letting an administrator detect overheating or fan failure before a unit fails. The module defines its own event triggers and notification actions rather than leaning on standard IETF MIBs, so it is largely self-contained. It is typically deployed by AV/IT teams managing fleets of ClickShare base units across conference rooms via a central network management system. Engineers can download the BARCO-CLICKSHARE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BARCO-CLICKSHARE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Barco ClickShare wireless presentation base unit
Monitoring Examples
An admin would poll sensorCpuTemperature against sensorCpuTemperatureThreshold and sensorCaseFanSpeed/sensorCpuFanSpeed to catch a unit that is overheating due to a stalled fan before it shuts down mid-meeting. Polling diUptime and diTotalUptime reveals unexpected reboots, while diRoomName, diLocation, diArticleCode and diSerialNumber let the poll results be mapped back to a specific physical base unit in inventory. A sustained rise in CPU temperature with falling fan speed on a given diSerialNumber is a strong signal of impending hardware failure.
What Can Be Monitored
- CPU temperature
- CPU temperature threshold breach
- case fan speed
- CPU fan speed
- base unit uptime
- total uptime
