Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is AV-IC-ALARM-MIB?

AV-IC-ALARM-MIB is an Avaya, Inc. proprietary MIB (built on AVAYAGEN-MIB/ITU-ALARM-TC-MIB) reporting AIC (Avaya Interaction Center?) alarm events. Its objects cover an alarm index, time, name, location, location IP address/port, critical/major/minor priority flags, description, and an alarm-event notification. As a notification MIB it lets an administrator get alerted with severity and source-location detail when an alarm fires on an Avaya AIC platform. It is deployed on Avaya, Inc. AIC (alarm-monitored) platforms. Engineers can download the AV-IC-ALARM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AV-IC-ALARM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Avaya, Inc. AIC (alarm-monitored) platforms

Monitoring Examples

An administrator receives avICAlarmEvent and reads avICAlarmPriorityCritical to triage a critical alarm on an Avaya AIC platform.
