Organization: GE CRD
Last Updated: 1998-01-01
Category: Alarm and Event Management
Description: Monitors GE Multilin Atropos intelligent protection relay, providing status, event logs, and measurement data.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ATROPOS-MIB?
ATROPOS-MIB is a GE CRD (General Electric Corporate Research and Development) experimental MIB for the Atropos Active Virtual Network Management Prediction research system, a parallel/distributed-simulation (Time Warp-style logical-process) testbed. Its LP (Logical Process) table, keyed by index, records LP ID, local virtual time, queue sizes, causality/tolerance rollback counts, global virtual time, lookahead, GVT-update count, step size, real/virtual time, packet/anti-message counts, prediction accuracy, and various rate/task/rollback-percentage metrics. As a research/performance MIB it lets a researcher watch logical-process rollback rates and prediction accuracy in the GE CRD Atropos distributed-simulation testbed. It is deployed on GE CRD Atropos research simulation nodes. Engineers can download the ATROPOS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ATROPOS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- GE CRD Atropos research simulation nodes
Monitoring Examples
A researcher checks lPCausalityRollbacks and lPPredAcc to evaluate simulation-prediction accuracy in the GE CRD Atropos testbed.
