What Is ARISTA-BGP4V2-TC-MIB?

This is an Arista Networks EOS MIB module that defines textual conventions (TCs) for BGP-4 version 2, based on the IETF draft-ietf-idr-bgp4-mibv2-13 and rehomed under Arista's private enterprise OID arc. It belongs to the routing/BGP management category on Arista switches and routers. Rather than exposing monitorable runtime data itself, it supplies shared enumerated types (such as address-family and peer-type identifiers) that other Arista BGP4V2 MIB modules import to structure their tables, so it contains no OIDs for uptime, CPU, memory, or fault counters. Its dependency is explicit and total: it is a direct derivative of the IETF BGP4-MIB-v2 draft, adapted into Arista's enterprise tree, and every sibling BGP4V2 data module depends on it for type definitions. Monitoring Examples

This module defines no tables or scalar objects of its own (sample_objects is empty) — it only provides textual-convention type definitions, such as BGP address-family and peer-type enumerations, for reuse by other Arista BGP4V2 MIB modules. There is no runtime monitoring scenario to describe honestly here, since a pure type-definition module carries no pollable instance data; a management station only consumes it indirectly when decoding values reported by the accompanying BGP4V2 state/table MIBs.
