Category: 4RF Aprisa Radio Backhaul

Description: Defines trap and event notification objects for 4RF Aprisa XE point-to-point radio links.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is APRISAXE-EVENTS-4RF?

APRISAXE-EVENTS-4RF is 4RF's Event MIB defining trap and notification objects for alarms and hardware card events on their Aprisa XE point-to-point microwave/radio link products. It exposes alarm status, severity, value, and threshold, plus per-slot card expected-vs-installed presence, status, and port data. Its monitoring emphasis is strongly hardware-fault oriented, using card presence mismatches, per-slot/port card status, and threshold-breach alarms to detect radio hardware faults in near real time via traps. It is a companion event/trap module to the main APRISAXE-MIB-4RF and shares textual conventions from APRISAXE-TC-4RF. It is deployed on point-to-point wireless backhaul links in utility, oil and gas, or telecom networks, where trap-driven alarm monitoring is critical for remote unmanned radio sites. Engineers can download the APRISAXE-EVENTS-4RF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in APRISAXE-EVENTS-4RF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • 4RF Aprisa XE point-to-point radio/microwave terminal

Monitoring Examples

aprisaXEEventAlarmStatus, aprisaXEEventAlarmSeverity, and aprisaXEEventAlarmThreshold together let an NMS raise a critical alert when a radio parameter crosses its configured threshold. aprisaXEEventCardExpected versus aprisaXEEventCardInstalled per aprisaXEEventCardSlot reveals a card that has been removed or failed compared to what should be installed, and aprisaXEEventCardStatus/aprisaXEEventCardPort pinpoint which port on which card raised the fault.

What Can Be Monitored

  • alarm status/severity
  • alarm value vs threshold
  • expected vs installed card presence
  • card status per slot/port
  • MIB/characterisation status
