Description: Citrix/NetScaler application acceleration textual conventions and shared type definitions.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is APPACCELERATION-TC?

APPACCELERATION-TC is a textual-conventions (TC) support module used across Citrix/NetScaler-family "Application Acceleration" enterprise MIBs, providing shared type definitions rather than its own managed objects. It does not itself expose interfaces, environment, or performance data; instead it standardizes data types (such as enumerations or string formats) that other application-acceleration MIB modules reuse. Because it defines no scalars or tables of its own, it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status — its value is purely as a dependency that keeps sibling MIBs internally consistent. It is heavily depended upon by other Citrix/NetScaler application-acceleration MIB modules that import its type definitions. It would be loaded alongside those functional MIBs whenever managing a Citrix/NetScaler WAN-optimization or application-acceleration appliance, and this APPACCELERATION-TC MIB is best understood as that supporting dependency rather than a standalone monitoring target.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in APPACCELERATION-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples

This module is a conformance/support module with no runtime data objects of its own — sample_objects is empty and no scalars or tables are defined here. An administrator would never poll APPACCELERATION-TC directly; instead, an SNMP tool loads it as a compile-time dependency so that the textual conventions it defines resolve correctly when polling the actual Application Acceleration MIBs that import them. There is no monitoring scenario to describe honestly beyond that supporting role.
