Description: Acme Packet SBC network interface and routing configuration management.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is AP-SYSTEM-NETWORK?

AP-SYSTEM-NETWORK is a proprietary MIB module belonging to Acme Packet's Session Border Controller (SBC) product family, used for carrier and enterprise VoIP/SIP signaling infrastructure. It exposes system-level network configuration data covering the SBC's interfaces, addressing, and routing setup for control and media-plane connectivity. As part of system health monitoring, it lets administrators confirm that network interfaces on the SBC are correctly configured and operationally reachable, which is foundational to detecting connectivity faults, misrouted traffic, or interface-level outages on the appliance. It is typically layered on top of, and complements, standard IETF interface and IP addressing conventions (IF-MIB/IP-MIB style modeling) rather than replacing them. It is deployed in telecom and enterprise networks wherever Acme Packet (later Oracle) SBCs terminate or relay SIP/RTP sessions at network edges, where engineers often perform an AP-SYSTEM-NETWORK download to load the module into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AP-SYSTEM-NETWORK. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Peplink/Pepwave Enterprise WiFi access point network-configuration module

Monitoring Examples

No object or table names were provided in the source data for this module, so a concrete polling example cannot be grounded in real identifiers; in general terms, an administrator would be expected to poll interface and route configuration objects to confirm the SBC's network-facing interfaces remain correctly addressed and active.

What Can Be Monitored

  • network interface configuration
  • interface addressing/routing setup
  • SBC network connectivity status
