This read-only parameter displays the current count of PVCs that are active and operational with the Frame Relay service provider network. Network engineers check this value to verify the expected number of circuits are live; unexpected drops in count signal potential network issues or misconfiguration. For example, if this counter shows 3 but you configured 5 PVCs, it indicates 2 PVCs have not successfully established with the carrier and traffic on those circuits will be blocked.
