Module: ADTRAN-TSUIQ-MIB
OID (symbolic): ADTRAN-TSUIQ-MIB::adTSUIQDteSignalingResponsesOption
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.664.2.147.3.10
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Determines how the IQ device will respond to polls from the DTE device during a network failure. If set to always on, the IQ will respond to polls during a network failure. If set to follow network, the IQ will not respond thus emulating a failure to the DTE device. If the IQ is responsible for dial backup, this option should be set to always on.
What is adTSUIQDteSignalingResponsesOption?
This read-write parameter determines whether the TSUIQ continues responding to DTE polls during a Frame Relay network failure or follows the network state and stops responding. Network engineers set this to 'always on' when the TSUIQ manages dial backup, ensuring the DTE still sees an active device so it can trigger failover; they set it to 'follow network' to have the device emulate the network failure. For example, if the Frame Relay service goes down and this is set to 'always on', the TSUIQ still responds to DTE requests, signaling the DTE to activate the backup ISDN link.
