Module: ADTRAN-DSUIQ-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADTRAN-DSUIQ-MIB::adDSUIQDteSignalingResponsesOption

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.664.2.141.3.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Determines how the IQ device will respond to polls from the DTE device during a network failure. If set to always on, the IQ will respond to polls during a network failure. If set to follow network, the IQ will not respond thus emulating a failure to the DTE device. If the IQ is responsible for dial backup, this option should be set to always on.

What is adDSUIQDteSignalingResponsesOption?

This OID controls whether the device continues responding to polls from the DTE device when the frame relay network connection fails. Network engineers set this to always on if the IQ device is responsible for dial backup, ensuring the DTE knows help is coming; otherwise set to follow network to emulate the failure. Setting this to always on means polls continue getting responses even during network failure, so the DTE waits for backup activation.
