Description: Count of CRC-8 (FEBE for ATU-R) anomalies occurring in the channel during the interval. This parameter is inhibited during UAS or SES. If the CRC is applied over multiple
channels, then each related CRC-8 (or FEBE) anomaly should increment each of the counters related to the individual channels.
What is adsl2PMChHist1DCodingViolations?
This OID stores the count of CRC-8 errors (FEBE for ATU-R) that occurred on the ADSL channel during a measurement interval, up to a maximum unsigned 32-bit value. Network engineers monitor this to detect physical line problems and data corruption issues that would cause packet loss and performance degradation. A value of 50 errors during a 15-minute interval would indicate moderate line quality degradation requiring investigation.
