Module: ADSL2-LINE-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADSL2-LINE-MIB::adsl2PMChHist15MCodingViolations

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.238.1.4.2.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: Count of CRC-8 (FEBE for ATU-R) anomalies occurring in the channel during the interval. This parameter is inhibited during UAS or SES. If the CRC is applied over multiple channels, then each related CRC-8 (or FEBE) anomaly should increment each of the counters related to the individual channels.

What is adsl2PMChHist15MCodingViolations?

This OID stores the CRC-8 (or FEBE) checksum error count from a historical 15-minute interval in the ADSL channel's past performance archive. Operators review historical intervals to spot trends—for example, checking if errors spike at certain times of day suggesting noise or congestion patterns. For example, if a historical interval from 2 hours ago shows 150 coding violations, and the current interval shows 20, the line has improved significantly.
