Description: Rate Adaptation Ratio. The ratio (in %) that should be taken into account for the bearer channel #1 when performing rate adaptation on Downstream. The ratio refers to the available data rate in excess of the Minimum Data Rate, summed over all bearer channels. Also, the 100 - adsl2LConfTempChan1RaRatioDs is the ratio of excess data rate to be assigned to all other bearer channels on Downstream direction. The sum of rate adaptation ratios over all bearers on the same direction shall be equal to 100%.

What is adsl2LConfTempChan1RaRatioDs?

This OID stores a percentage (0-100) that controls how much of the extra downstream speed goes to channel 1 during dynamic rate adaptation. When the modem has more speed capacity than the minimum required, this ratio determines channel 1's share of that bonus bandwidth. For example, a value of 60 means channel 1 gets 60% of any extra speed, while the remaining 40% is split among other channels.
