Module: ADSL-LINE-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADSL-LINE-EXT-MIB::adslConfProfileLineType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.94.3.1.22.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description:

This object is used to configure the ADSL physical line mode. It has following valid values:

noChannel(1), when no channels exist. fastOnly(2), when only fast channel exists. interleavedOnly(3), when only interleaved channel exist. fastOrInterleaved(4), when either fast or interleaved channels can exist, but only one at any time. fastAndInterleaved(5), when both the fast channel and the interleaved channel exist.

In the case when no value has been set, the default Value is noChannel(1).

What is adslConfProfileLineType?

This OID configures whether the ADSL line uses separate fast and interleaved channels or just one. You set this based on your quality-versus-speed tradeoff: interleaved mode adds error correction but reduces throughput, while fast-only mode maximizes speed but is less tolerant of noise. Setting it to 3 means you're using only the interleaved channel for maximum reliability.
