Module: ADN-ENV-MIB
OID (symbolic): ADN-ENV-MIB::adnHscBoardTrMgtEnvLOBEFCIOffTh
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.637.3.1.8.5.5.24.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This indicates the Explicit Forward Congestion Indication (EFCI) desactivation threshold in low priority output buffer (OB); EFCI is generated towards the receiver termination point, in order to prevent congestion situation to be encountered within the output buffer; EFCI tagging is activated as soon as the activation threshold is reached; EFCI tagging is stopped as soon as the filling of the OB is below the EFCI desactivation threshold; the value range of the threshold is 0..adnHscBoardTrMgtLOBSize; this is not relevant for E1B and T1B boards.
What is adnHscBoardTrMgtEnvLOBEFCIOffTh?
This OID sets the threshold for stopping EFCI tagging on low-priority output buffers once congestion has cleared, preventing the system from sending slowdown signals after the buffer is no longer at risk. A network engineer needs to set this lower than the activation threshold so there's hysteresis — the buffer must drop below this level before the system stops warning senders. Setting this to 40 percent means the system stops sending slowdown signals once the low-priority buffer drains to 40% full.
