adnAtmBoardDefEventClass
Module: ADN-ENV-MIB
OID (symbolic): ADN-ENV-MIB::adnAtmBoardDefEventClass
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.637.3.1.8.5.5.20.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: This indicates the event class from hardware side:
event: single fault signalled by the hardware or another software module to the supervision antenna inside the coupler board. No end is signalled, the presence of the fault can't be checked.
status: the beginning of the fault is signalled to the supervision antenna inside the coupler board; the presence of the fault can be checked.
statusc: the hardware provides no interrupt; this status is periodically scanned by the supervision antenna inside the coupler board.
counter: a n bit long hardware counter counts the elementary events; an interrupt is generally sent at saturation; its value can be read; it is reset to zero when read.
What is adnAtmBoardDefEventClass?
This read-only value indicates whether the defect is signaled as a one-time event, an ongoing status condition, or a non-interrupt status. Network engineers need this to understand how to respond—whether a defect requires immediate action, can be monitored passively, or is merely informational. A value indicating 'status' means the defect onset was reported and can be checked for clearing, whereas 'event' means only a single fault signal was sent with no end notification.
