This OID counts the total number of new session attempts (called "seizures" in telecom) that arrived during a measurement period. Engineers monitor seizure counts as a measure of incoming call volume and to verify traffic stays within expected operational thresholds. A value of 100000 means 100,000 new session requests were initiated during the period.
