What Is A3COM-HUAWEI-QINQ-MIB?

A3COM-HUAWEI-QINQ-MIB is an H3C (Hangzhou H3C Technologies, the 3Com/Huawei joint venture) proprietary MIB implementing 802.1Q-in-Q (VLAN stacking/tunneling). Its objects cover a BPDU-tunnel switch, Ethernet-type and service/customer TPID values, a BPDU-tunnel table (protocol index, row status), a priority-remarking table (priority value/remark, row status), a VLAN-ID table (VLAN ID, inbound VID-list low/high bound, Ethernet type, row status), and a VID-swap table (old/new VID, row status). As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm which customer VLANs are tunneled through a Q-in-Q uplink and how their priority is remarked. It is deployed on H3C (3Com/Huawei) managed switches. Engineers can download the A3COM-HUAWEI-QINQ-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in A3COM-HUAWEI-QINQ-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C (3Com/Huawei) managed switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks h3cQinQVidTable to confirm a customer's VLAN range is correctly tunneled through a Q-in-Q uplink on an H3C switch.
