What Is A3COM-HUAWEI-ENTITY-VENDORTYPE-OID-MIB?

A3COM-HUAWEI-ENTITY-VENDORTYPE-OID-MIB is an H3C (Hangzhou H3C Tech. Co., Ltd.) proprietary MIB defining the object identifiers used by the standard ENTITY-MIB's entPhysicalTable (entPhysicalVendorType column) to uniquely identify each physical component type on H3C products. It carries no data objects of its own — as a structural registration MIB it exists so an NMS can map an H3C entity's vendor-type OID to a specific physical component (chassis, card, module). It underlies H3C (3Com-Huawei) devices reporting hardware inventory via ENTITY-MIB. Engineers can download the A3COM-HUAWEI-ENTITY-VENDORTYPE-OID-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in A3COM-HUAWEI-ENTITY-VENDORTYPE-OID-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C (3Com-Huawei) devices (ENTITY-MIB hardware inventory)

Monitoring Examples

An NMS looks up an H3C device's entPhysicalVendorType against this MIB's registered OIDs to identify the exact physical component (e.g., a specific line card model) in the chassis.
