IPNetwork Monitor SNMP MIB Explorer

IPNetwork’s MIB Explorer is a user-friendly utility for testing and monitoring numerous SNMP devices on a network. It enables network administrators to retrieve and explore MIB information regarding network hardware configurations via the SNMP agent on managed devices such as servers, switches, and routers. IPNetwork’s MIB Explorer allows compilation of MIB files and presents them in a tree structure displaying SNMP variables.

To add or remove SNMP MIBs, begin by opening the relevant SNMP-type monitor and clicking the ellipsis button next to the OID field. Once the SNMP browser has loaded, select the “MIBs” button (located in the bottom-left corner). A list of currently loaded MIBs will appear, along with options to remove existing or import new MIBs. While you cannot modify their contents directly, you can unload pre-loaded SNMP MIBs or utilize the file browser to choose a text file containing a new MIB for importation.

Numerous resources offer appropriate MIBs, including several free options from various vendors.
