4 modules from Desktop Management Task Force

This page is for the Desktop Management Task Force (DMTF), a vendor-neutral standards body rather than an equipment manufacturer, and its modules implement the older DMI (Desktop Management Interface) standard for generic desktop/server/mobile hardware. Recurring subject matter is broad system inventory rather than any one vendor's features - LAN adapter configuration, mobile-computing power management, display monitor attributes, software inventory, and general system hardware/OS environment, all exposed the same way regardless of the underlying brand. Come here only if your equipment still runs a DMI/CIM-based management agent, since these are vendor-neutral base objects rather than a specific vendor's proprietary extensions. Given DMI predates most modern host-management standards, expect these MIBs to be relevant mainly to older desktop and server hardware.
