What Is ZYXEL-RATE-LIMIT-MIB?
ZYXEL-RATE-LIMIT-MIB is a ZyXEL private enterprise MIB for per-port ingress and egress rate limiting used for traffic shaping and bandwidth enforcement. It exposes configuration objects setting bandwidth caps per port and direction. Monitoring lets an operator confirm configured rate limits match policy and, combined with interface counters, spot ports where traffic is being throttled, a configuration/performance-oriented check rather than hardware fault detection. It complements standard IF-MIB interface counters by adding ZyXEL-specific bandwidth-limiting configuration on top. It is deployed on ZyXEL access switches to enforce per-customer or per-department bandwidth caps, common in ISP or multi-tenant access-layer deployments. Engineers can download the ZYXEL-RATE-LIMIT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZYXEL-RATE-LIMIT-MIB.
