What Is ZYXEL-DHCP-CLIENT-MIB?
ZYXEL-DHCP-CLIENT-MIB is a ZyXEL Communications vendor-specific MIB (under ZYXEL-ES-SMI esMgmt) that models per-VLAN DHCP client configuration and lease status on ZyXEL switches that obtain their management IP addressing via DHCP. zyxelDhcpClientTable, indexed by zyDhcpClientID (a VLAN ID), lets an operator create or remove a DHCP client instance for a given management VLAN via zyDhcpClientRowStatus, while the companion zyxelDhcpClientInfoTable reports the resulting lease details: assigned IP address and mask, lease/renew/rebind timers, lease start/end timestamps, the serving DHCP server address, up to two DNS server addresses, and the default gateway. Two EnabledStatus trigger objects, zyDhcpClientInfoRelease and zyDhcpClientInfoRenew, let a manager force the client to release or renew its lease. This is a small addressing-configuration MIB rather than a traffic MIB, so it is most useful for confirming that a switch's management interface actually obtained (and keeps renewing) a valid DHCP lease. It is deployed on ZyXEL switches configured for DHCP-based management addressing, and administrators can download the ZYXEL-DHCP-CLIENT-MIB file to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
An operator polls zyDhcpClientInfoLeaseTo and zyDhcpClientInfoDhcpServer in zyxelDhcpClientInfoTable for a given VLAN, and a lease nearing zyDhcpClientInfoLeaseTo with no successful renewal would indicate the switch's management VLAN is about to lose its DHCP-assigned IP address.
