Module: ZHONE-RADIUS-CLIENT

OID (symbolic): ZHONE-RADIUS-CLIENT::zhoneRadiusClientRetryInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5504.4.14.1.1.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description: This is the minimum time (in seconds) the device will wait before asuuming an error occurred and the request is retried.

What is zhoneRadiusClientRetryInterval?

This read-create value sets the minimum time, in seconds, the device waits before assuming a RADIUS request failed and retrying it, defaulting to 1 second. Admins tune this to match expected network latency to the RADIUS server, avoiding premature retries on a slow WAN link while not waiting too long on a fast LAN. For example, increasing zhoneRadiusClientRetryInterval to 5 seconds could reduce needless retry traffic to a RADIUS server reached over a high-latency satellite link.
