lgGroupOperState

Module: ZHONE-GEN-LINE-REDUNDANCY

OID (symbolic): ZHONE-GEN-LINE-REDUNDANCY::lgGroupOperState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5504.3.6.3.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The state of this line group. Normally, this state will match the admin state of this group except during the activation phase of the group or if 'all' active lines in the group are down (admin'd or due to a fault)

- 'inactive' status is returned when the line group is not active or inoperable.

- 'active' status is returned if at least one line is active and operational in the group.

What is lgGroupOperState?

This object reports whether a line redundancy group is currently inactive or active: inactive means the group is not active or is inoperable, while active means at least one member line is up and operational. Admins check this alongside lgGroupAdminState to confirm a group that's been administratively enabled is actually passing traffic on one of its lines. Seeing operState stuck at inactive(1) while adminState is up(2) would indicate both lines in the group are down.
