Description: The number of padded bytes at the end of data. This is used for Self-Describing Padding, a method for placing unambiguous padding octets at the end of the PPP Information field in order to cause messages to fall on a natural boundary.
What is lcpExtMaxPad?
The number of Self-Describing Padding bytes (1-255, default 4) appended to the end of PPP data so messages land on a natural boundary, a low-level framing tuning parameter an admin would only adjust to interoperate with a peer's specific padding requirement.
