Module: XEDIA-IPBACKUP-MIB

OID (symbolic): XEDIA-IPBACKUP-MIB::xipbackupAdminStatus

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The administrative status of IP Backup for the IP router. It is the desired state of IP Backup for the router. The value 'enabled(1)' indicates that the IP Backup process should be active in the router, while 'disabled(2)' indicates that IP Backup should not be active for the router.

What is xipbackupAdminStatus?

This value sets the desired administrative state of IP Backup (a VRRP-based router redundancy feature) for the whole router, enabled(1) to make the process active or disabled(2) to keep it inactive, defaulting to disabled(2) per the source. A network administrator enables this on routers that should participate in a VRRP-style virtual router redundancy group for IP-layer failover. For example, setting xipbackupAdminStatus to enabled(1) activates IP Backup on the router so its configured backup instances can begin participating in master/backup election.
