wfTftpDefaultVolume

Module: Wellfleet-TFTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): Wellfleet-TFTP-MIB::wfTftpDefaultVolume

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.6.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The file system volume number to which transferred files will be written and from which they will be retrieved. The volume number corresponds to the slot number on which the volume resides. On systems with a floppy disk, the value 65 represents volume 'A'. On systems which support flash file system partitioning, the volume is = (slot * 100 + partition number) where 0 and 1 are valid partition numbers, and represent 'partition a' and 'partition b' respectively. If no default volume is specified, the system chooses the lowest available active volume.

What is wfTftpDefaultVolume?

This value is the file system volume that transferred files are written to and read from by default, corresponding to a slot number (or slot*100+partition for flash file systems, or 65 for a floppy 'A' drive); if unset, the system picks the lowest available active volume, defaulting to volume2. Admins set it to control where configuration files or firmware images land when transferred via TFTP without specifying a volume explicitly. Setting wfTftpDefaultVolume to volume1a(100) directs default TFTP transfers to partition 'a' of the volume in slot 1.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.6.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Wellfleet-TFTP-MIB::wfTftpDefaultVolume

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.6.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Wellfleet-TFTP-MIB::wfTftpDefaultVolume.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.6.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> wfTftpDefaultVolume.1
