What is wfSipL2MidCurrentlyActiveErrors?
This counter tracks SIP Level-2 PDUs that arrived with a Beginning-of-Message (BOM) segment for a Message Identifier that was already active from a prior, unfinished message. It signals that the SMDS convergence layer is failing to properly close out message reassembly before a new one starts. For example, a technician seeing this counter rise alongside wfSipL2EomsMIDErrors would suspect the far-end SIP device is mishandling MID lifecycle on that circuit.
