Description: Specifies the Mac Frame Error Threshold for determining when a MAC Frame Error Condition report will be generated (via an SRF Frame). If Mac Frame Error Ratio is greater than Mac Frame Error Threshold then the Mac Frame Error Condition exists. This Mac Frame Error Ratio is calculated periodically based on the attributes wfFddiMacErrorCts and wfFddiMacLostCts. A low value of Mac Frame Error Threshold will generate more frequent Mac Frame Error conditions if the wfFddiMacErrorCts and wfFddiMacLostCts counters are periodically increased. Therefore the user should set the Mac Frame Error Threshold (1..65535) in accordance with the volatility of the ring.
What is wfFddiMacFrameErrorThreshold?
Sets the threshold (1-65535, default 1) against which the MAC's calculated Frame Error Ratio (derived from wfFddiMacErrorCts and wfFddiMacLostCts) is compared to decide when a MAC Frame Error Condition report (SRF) is generated; a low threshold makes the station report frame-error conditions more readily on a ring where those counters increase frequently, so an admin tunes it to match how volatile the ring normally is.

Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.4.15.2.3.1.14.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Wellfleet-FDDI-MIB::wfFddiMacFrameErrorThreshold.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.4.15.2.3.1.14.1 i <value>
