wwpLeosPingUntilStopped
Module: WWP-LEOS-PING-MIB
OID (symbolic): WWP-LEOS-PING-MIB::wwpLeosPingUntilStopped
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.19.1.12
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: Setting this object to true prior to wwpLeosPingActivate will cause the device to ping the specified host until wwpLeosPingActivate is set to false. The object cannot be modified once the ping is active. The object returns to 'false' once the ping is halted.
What is wwpLeosPingUntilStopped?
Setting this value to true before activating the ping with wwpLeosPingActivate causes the device to ping the target continuously until wwpLeosPingActivate is explicitly set back to false; it cannot be changed once a ping is already running, and it resets to false once the ping halts, defaulting to false. An admin uses this for an ongoing reachability monitor rather than a fixed-count test, useful when watching a link recover after a known outage. Setting wwpLeosPingUntilStopped to true and then wwpLeosPingActivate to true starts an indefinite ping that only stops when the admin manually deactivates it.
