wsSwSnmpSaveSet

Module: WS-SW-SNMP-SAVE-MIB

OID (symbolic): WS-SW-SNMP-SAVE-MIB::wsSwSnmpSaveSet

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.388.14.2.6.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Description.

What is wsSwSnmpSaveSet?

This read-write INTEGER triggers saving the switch's running configuration, taking the value idle(1) when no save is requested or save(2) to initiate the operation; the source MIB's own description text for this object is just a placeholder. Based on its name and idle/save enumeration, admins would set it to save(2) to commit the current running configuration to the startup configuration, similar to a CLI "write memory" command, and each such save increments wsSwSnmpSaveSavedCfgChangeCounter. For example, an admin who just finished tuning VLAN settings via SNMP would set this object to save(2) to make the changes persist across a reboot.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.388.14.2.6.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> WS-SW-SNMP-SAVE-MIB::wsSwSnmpSaveSet

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.388.14.2.6.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> WS-SW-SNMP-SAVE-MIB::wsSwSnmpSaveSet.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.388.14.2.6.1.1.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> wsSwSnmpSaveSet.1
