Description: The value of this object specifies the maximum number of learned and static entries allowed in the Forwarding database for this PW Binding. The value 0 means there is no limit for this PW Binding.
What is jnxVplsLdpPwBindMacAddressLimit?
This object sets the maximum number of learned and static MAC address entries allowed in the forwarding database for a specific VPLS pseudowire binding, where a value of zero means no limit is enforced. An administrator sets a non-zero limit to protect the forwarding table from being exhausted by a MAC flooding attack or misbehaving device on that pseudowire. For example, setting jnxVplsLdpPwBindMacAddressLimit to 500 on a customer-facing pseudowire caps how many distinct MAC addresses that binding can learn, preventing one runaway customer site from consuming shared forwarding table resources.
