jnxVplsBgpConfigVERangeSize

Module: VPLS-BGP-DRAFT-01-MIB

OID (symbolic): VPLS-BGP-DRAFT-01-MIB::jnxVplsBgpConfigVERangeSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.5.10.1.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: Specifies the size of the range of VE ids in this VPLS service. This number controls the size of the label block advertised for this VE by the PE. A value of 0 indicates that the range is not configured and the PE derives the range value from received advertisements from other PEs.

What is jnxVplsBgpConfigVERangeSize?

This read-only Unsigned32 (0-65535, default 0) specifies the size of the VE ID range for a VPLS service, which controls the size of the label block the PE advertises for this VE; a value of 0 means the range is not configured and is instead derived from advertisements received from other PEs. Admins configure this on a VPLS PE to size how many VE IDs, and thus how many potential remote sites, this service can address. For example, setting this to 16 reserves a label block covering 16 VE IDs for this VPLS instance.
