vmwEnvIndicationSkips

Module: VMWARE-ENV-MIB

OID (symbolic): VMWARE-ENV-MIB::vmwEnvIndicationSkips

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.4.20.111

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: Number of CIM indications recieved for which GetClass reported no MappingStrings qualifier and were not converted to a notification.

What is vmwEnvIndicationSkips?

A running count of entire CIM indications that were dropped (not converted to an SNMP notification at all) because GetClass reported no MappingString qualifiers for that indication's class. A rising count means some hardware events are never reaching SNMP, which an admin should flag for investigation.
