iOPowerSupplyStatus

Module: VERTICAL-ENV-MIB

OID (symbolic): VERTICAL-ENV-MIB::iOPowerSupplyStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2338.0.48

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: This notification is sent when one (or more) power supply units changs state (i.e it goes from an ON state to an OFF state, or vice versa). Even if more than one power supply changes state, only one trap is sent. Information about the new state of all the power supplies is sent in the Trap Data (IOLastPowerSupplyTrap).

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' VERTICAL-ENV-MIB::iOPowerSupplyStatus
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.2338.0.48

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:59929->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (479794201) 55 days, 12:45:42.01
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: VERTICAL-ENV-MIB::iOPowerSupplyStatus
