What Is VDSL2-LINE-TC-MIB?
VDSL2-LINE-TC-MIB is an IETF standards-track module that defines Textual Conventions (shared data types) used by the companion VDSL2-LINE-MIB to manage VDSL2 lines, and explicitly also applicable to ADSL, ADSL2, and ADSL2+ line management. It is a pure textual-conventions module and defines no scalar or tabular data objects of its own -- its purpose is to establish consistent, reusable type definitions (such as encodings for line status, band plans, or profile parameters) that other DSL MIBs build upon. As a result it has no direct monitoring role for hardware or software status; the actual line-rate, sync-status, and error-counter monitoring happens in VDSL2-LINE-MIB, which imports these conventions. Its dependency relationship is explicit and central: it exists specifically to support VDSL2-LINE-MIB (and by extension ADSL-family MIBs) with common types. Anyone consulting the VDSL2-LINE-TC-MIB OID list will find only these shared type definitions rather than pollable data objects, confirming its supporting role. It is relevant wherever DSL access equipment -- typically DSLAMs and modems supporting VDSL2/ADSL2+ -- is managed via SNMP.

Monitoring Examples
This module defines no runtime objects to poll; it is a conformance/type-support module rather than a data-carrying MIB, so it exposes no monitoring scenario on its own. Any anomaly detection for VDSL2/ADSL line rate, sync state, or noise margin would be performed against the companion VDSL2-LINE-MIB, which uses the textual conventions declared here.
