Description:

This notification indicates that a status change is detected for the referred xTU-R.

What is xdsl2LineStatusChangeXtur?

This SNMP notification (trap) is generated when a status change is detected on an xDSL transceiver unit remote-end (xTU-R) such as a customer's modem, carrying the current line status as its OBJECTS parameter. It alerts network management systems to operational state transitions such as link up/down, training success/failure, or other line condition changes. Operators subscribe to this trap to monitor DSL line stability and troubleshoot connection issues.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' VDSL2-LINE-MIB::xdsl2LineStatusChangeXtur
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.251.0.18

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
