Description:

This notification indicates that the FEC seconds threshold has been reached/exceeded for the referred xTU-R.

What is xdsl2LinePerfFECSThreshXtur?

This notification is triggered when the FEC (Forward Error Correction) seconds counter for an xTU-R (VDSL2 receiver) reaches or exceeds a configured threshold. FEC seconds measure periods where line errors required correction, indicating line quality degradation. An operator would monitor this alarm to detect worsening DSL line conditions and potential service issues.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' VDSL2-LINE-MIB::xdsl2LinePerfFECSThreshXtur
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.251.0.2

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
